3D engraving technology
The subsurface engraving method started since 1997, but in 1999, Laser presents the worlds’ first “3D picture” which is engraved into glass by a laser system. This product is the basis for the later developed crystal laser headstone.
In 2001 Laser applies the doubling of frequency from infrared to green (from 1064nm to 532nm) in subsurface engraving technology. This new introduction makes it possible to realize more accurate point structures, which offers a higher solution.
The process of engraving your image in the crystal is as follows: First you upload your picture, and then your picture is converted to CAD file and is sent to the laser computer guide. With our laser subsurface engraving method the surface remains untouched. The process involves focusing a light laser beam, which is a green laser, to a spot within a block, or the shape of your preference, of optically perfect crystal.
